Mainly an upper-middle class suburb, Ponsonby is set up on a ridge about 2km west of the CBD. Situated on Auckland's hip and happening Ponsonby Road, with its popular restaurants, bars and shops, this Glengarry store is frequented by those wanting to purchase a BYO to take to one of the surrounding restaurants, or a bottle of something for the sit down dinner party down the road.

Over the last thirty years, the Glengarry Wine Academy has established itself as one of the leading wine educators in New Zealand. Initially created to train Glengarry staff, it is also widely used by the hospitality industry and wine enthusiasts. Informative, but never intimidating, the Glengarry Wine Academy courses are an opportunity for beginners as well as experienced aficionados to expand their knowledge and develop their interest. This four week course is the second in the series and follows from Wine Academy Stage I. Stage Two will look closely at grape varieties and their interpretations from around the world with a major focus on tastings. All wines are premium to super premium in nature. It is recommended that participants have completed Wine Academy Stage I (or similar course) before embarking on Wine Academy Stage II. In stage 1 you learn about the varieties, stage 2 you explore their differing personalities around the world. In Stage 3 you take a major look a key wine making regions in the world. KIKI - Kiki is always bubbly and very helpful with customers. She is our social butterfly, so is your girl to talk to about what you need for your next party.
ROSE - Rose has been with us for over a year, and is highly knowledgable of what we have in store. She is our Sunday Funday girl, so if you need inspiration for a Sunday Spritz - Rose is your person!
HOLLY - Holly is our Store Manager and has come from a 15 year hospitality background, so brings alot of experience to the store. She is the Mother Hen of the store and loves working with her little chicks.
BRITTANY - Brittany is our resident Arts Doctorate! She is the one who is in charge of all our displays and the amazing drawings you see on our windows. She has been with us for four years so knows her way around the store very well.
