Glenkinchie is located in East Lothian in Scotland. It is one of two distilleries still in production in the Lowland region today. The distillery was originally founded in 1825 by brothers John and George Rate, and was called Milton. About a decade later, Glenkinchie distillery was registered. Tradition has a special place at Glenkinchie. They stil use wooden washbacks for fermentaion, two made from Oregon Pine and four from Canadian Larch. They also use two fat old coopy pot stills.
