Boon Rawd Brewery, producers of Singha beer, became the official purveyor to the Royal Court of Thailand in 1939. They were given the right to use the Kingdom’s Garuda, which is a rare permission and possibly the highest honour a company can receive. Singha was first exported in 1970, firstly to neighbouring countries, then expanding out to the rest of Asia, the US and UK. Today, Singha beer can be found around the world.
The name ‘Singha’ refers to a mythical Lion-like Thai creature. As the King of the jungle it is a symbol of power, courage, dignity, loyalty, perseverance and endurance.
