HANCOCK AND CO BEER

Thomas Hancock learned to brew craft beer in St. George’s Bay and Parnell in the mid 19th century. He followed his dream and purchased the Captain Cook Inn in 1859, creating his brewery from a shed in his back yard. Within 3 years Hancock had built such a following that he had to expand. Hancock was an optimist. Passionate about his product, he kept a close eye on all that went into his beer, from the on-site Malthouse to his wells of fresh, pure water, Hancock & Co never compromised...

Jump forward over a 150 years and not much has changed. Hancock & Co remains an independent family owned and operated New Zealand brand making the finest craft beer using the highest quality ingredients.
