BRUNO GIACOSA
In the world of wine producers, Bruno Giacosa sits at the elite table. Born in 1929 in Neive, Piedmont, Bruno from an early age learnt on the job from his father and grandfather. Until recently, Giacosa did not own land, though this has now changed, with vineyards added to the company holdings. Quality is paramount, so much so that the Giacosa wines are not made every year, are often declassified or sold off, and only rarely do they bear the famous red label reserved for the very best expressions. One of Piedmont’s finest traditional producers of Barolo and Barbaresco, with individual cru the focus and blending frowned upon.
