"The New Zealand Nurses Organisation is based in Ponsonby and went to Dida's Bar, on the corner of Blake Street and Jervois Road, for our Christmas lunch yesterday. I initially dealt with Chris Tillack when enquiring if it would be possible and how we could manage the lunch for 20 people. I found him excellent and easy to deal with. I supplied a list with two choices of tapas for each person and Chris suggested that we start with the Patata Bravas and Embutido, which was perfect, and we finished with Truffles and Churros. Chris was working yesterday with Nick and I wish to pass on that the food and service was excellent; everyone who attended come away very pleased and enjoying the afternoon, the conversations and good feeling has continued this morning as well. I wanted you to know the excellent service your employees provide, and what an enjoyable experience we had. I also regularly buy coffee and a salad from the other Dida's and appreciate the friendly and efficient staff at that organisation as well. You employ great people keep up the good work both in service and food preparation."

"I have been meaning to write to you (Glengarry Newmarket) all week since returning to work to thank you again for your advice and assistance with the wines for our recent wedding. All wines were well appreciated by our guests with one in particular enthusing over the Sauvignon Blanc and another spotting the 'Rua' and exclaiming with delight! The champagne was excellent and was, in fact, the only wine that was completely consumed so I shall have to come round and buy another couple of bottles to store away for future use. That said we also have a fair amount of the other wines left over to enjoy going forward and probably should have taken your comments on board a bit more about the 'volume' that we were purchasing, but no harm as they are such lovely wines!"

"For lunch I braved the rain to head to Dida's (Victoria Park), and I'm so glad I did! Not just for the warm and comfortable setting, but the scotch fillet and thick-cut house chips were perfectly prepared. That rich, creamy mushroom and brandy sauce was awesome, your chef clearly knows what's up. All free-range meat and eggs too which makes a huge difference on taste.
