FOUR PILLARS
Honestly, we have been all aboard the Four Pillars hype-train for a while now, with the Yarra Valley legends seeming like they can do no wrong. So, when they told us they had a zero-alcohol bandwagon also leaving the station we booked our tickets quicker than you can say bonza.
They don’t do things by halves at Four Pillars, and they also take their time about making sure a product is the real deal before they put their four dotted seal on it and ship it out the door. A full two years of tinkering, tasting and improving was done at Healesville HQ, ultimately leading to a pair of zero alcohol drinks modelled on their most iconic gins: the Rare Dry and the Bloody Shiraz.
This dynamic duo are made using the same botanicals as their alcohol-bearing brethren, just distilled a little differently. Each botanical is steam distilled separately, and then precision blended and mixed with a water rather than wheat alcohol base. Chilli and a natural fructose are then added to provide the heat and weight you’d expect to experience in a gin.
