Located in the heritage listed enterprise brewery established in 1878, Knappstein is steeped in the traditions of Clare. Knappstein’s focus is on crafting beautiful single vineyard wines reflective of site and variety. The Single Vineyard wines showcase quality fruit at its rawest, purist, most grass-roots level without overt, heavy-handed winemaking. By allowing the vines to find their natural balance, Knappstein is able to explore the quality and characteristics of its single vineyard sites.

Today, Knappstein’s winemaking team is led by Glenn Barry, who honed his skills in the Clare Valley and as far afield as Sicily, the Okanagan in Canada and Napa. Glenn’s winemaking philosophy reflects his love of fresh wines, with vibrant and pure flavours.
