Q WINE

The Q vineyard was one of the first to be developed in North Otago.It lies on the southern bank of the Waitaki River on a substrate of fractured limestone marl with overlay of alluvial silts.This terroir allows us to create wines that are intense, balanced and distinctive. We focus on traditional techniques and a high level of craft to ensure that the vines achieve their full potential.Our boutique approach means we hand harvest all of our grapes allowing each bottle to emulate the essence of the vineyard.

Antony Worch

French born Worch took over as, Chief Winemaker for Q WINE in 2012, helping to develop the distinctive style of Q.He studied oenology at Universite Montpellier, worked a harvest in South Africa before finally settling in the South Island of New Zealand.
