ROGUE VINE

A 5 hectare boutique vineyard etched into the soils of Ancient Kauri Forests with a sun-drenched micro climate suited to grape production. Rogue Vine vineyard overlooks the beautiful TePuna Inlet in the pristine Bay of Islands.2020 vines were planted in 2014 – 5 varietals: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauv Blanc, Syrah and Tempranillo (our Spanish Red) Rogue Vine is a true reflection of the Far North's terroir - its climate, soil and aspect. Consumers can savour our regional product which reflects distinct Northland characteristics. •Pinot Gris - New Clones – with more intense flavours. Using new Clones M2 and 457 (favoured by Jules Taylor Wines) these Pinot Gris clones yield medium and smaller, looser bunches creating flavours that are new to the NZ wine industry•Sauvignon Blanc - has very distinct Northland terroir citrus characteristics •Chardonnay - a unique blend of three different clones aged in oak.Our guiding beliefs and ideals steer us towards continually Improving Soil Health, using Biological Teas, Sprays, Biodynamic Preperations and rich Organic Composts whenever possible.
