Once thought to be extinct, the South Island Saddleback is slowly reclaiming its rightful place in our remote Southern rainforests. A determined preservation programme has seen a strong resurgence in numbers on sanctuary islands in Fiordland – a success that Peregrine is proud to have contributed to, both financially and with hands-on support alongside the Department of Conservation.
