TAHBILK
Tahbilk was established in 1860 and is one of Australia's oldest wineries. Located in the Nagambie Lakes region in central Victoria, the Tahbilk property has been home to five generations of the Purbrick family. The Tahbilk vineyards has varieties including French Rhône Valley whites - Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne - and classic Rhône reds - Shiraz, Grenache and MOurvedre - as well as traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Tahbilk's approach to red winemaking has not departed much since its beginings in 1860. Their reds tend to have an emphasis on fruit flavours. A dedicated white fermenation cellar was constructed at Tahbilk in 1979 under the leadership of Alister Purbrick.
