TE WHAU
Te Whau Vineyard was established in 1993 by Tony, Moira and Caroline Forsyth. The vineyard was planted in 1996, with the first wines made in 1999, and in 2000 Tony and Moira left corporate life in Auckland, adding an award-winning restaurant to Te Whau.
Te Whau is located on an isolated north-facing slope that looks back towards Auckland. The aspect perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the gentle slope to the side of the Cabernet vineyard is planted with Chardonnay.
