VINCENT GIRARDIN

Born in Santenay in the Côte de Beaune, Vincent Girardin is part of a winemaking dynasty whose origins date back 11 generations to the 17th Century. He began in 1982 with only 2 hectares of vines. When his father retired, Girardin took over several additional hectares and, thanks to an energetic and innovative approach, he has managed to expand that original holding to 20 hectares.

While habitually focussing on lesser-known appellations of the Côte de Beaune, Girardin has nonetheless managed to accumulate an impressive collection of Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines from some very famous appellations. Working 42 parcels from 8 villages in the Côte de Beaune, his vibrant wines are ripe, textural, aromatic and elegant.
