Cointreau Fizz Mint Tea COCKTAIL RECEIPE
Cointreau is a 100% pure, crystal clear liqueur, made from bitter and sweet orange peels. In 1849, two brothers Adolphe and Edouard-Jean Cointreau established a distillery in Angers, France, where they invented Cointreau in 1875. The recipe has remained unchanged ever since. Cointreau is the heart of classic cocktails such as the Cointreaupolitan, Margarita, Side Car, Cosmopolitan and White Lady, and this very refreshing summer cocktail to enjoy over the coming months.
Ingredients:
50ml Cointreau
20ml Fresh Lime
50ml Cold black tea
3 Fresh Mint Leaves
50ml Soda water
Method:
Add all ingredients to a Boston shaker; Cointreau, tea, lime juice, mint leaves. Fill with ice. Shake until the metal tin is frosted. Strain into the glass over ice, and top off with soda water.
Garnish:
Garnish with a mint leaf.
SHAKE AND STRAIN
Using a Hawthorn strainer (or knife) this technique prevents the ice going into the glass. Straining protects the cocktail ensuring melted ice wont dilute the flavour and mixture.
