Heres one of the more interesting Sauvignons to have emerged from Central Otago. It has those classic fresh, fragrant varietal characters, but boasts greater depth and some complexity. About 10 percent was fermented in French oak barriques, with the balance in tank. With its ripe tropical fruit aromas and hints of blossom, mineral and passionfruit swirling in the background, the palate is quite full bodied, with the lively, succulent fruit flavours artfully balanced by a splash of citrus.
