The Craixell family of Murrieta have owned Pazo Barrantes since the 15th century. Located in the Salnes Valley, Rias Baixas. The estate is surrounded by just 12 hectares of Albarino. A thick-skinned white grape that withstands the wet, windy conditions in the north of Spain. High acidity and flavour, with a dry finish. Theres an intense citrus character, salty, with a bergamot tea note that is quite concentrated and will age well. Distinctly Albarino, its freshness combined with a creamy stonefruit character.
