Each bottle in Batch 19 was matured in either a single Pedro Ximenez cask, Oloroso sherry Puncheon or Oloroso sherry Butt, distilled between 1990 and 1994 so there are no youngsters amongst this release. Whether previously housed in sweet and rich Pedro Ximenez, or dry and nutty Oloroso; each of the twelve casks are said to present unique characteristics whilst remaining distinctively of The GlenDronach. This whisky shows mellow walnut and sweet chocolate raisin on the nose, with notes of hazelnut toffee brittle and liquorice. On the palate, it packed iwth baked raisin and walnut bread and hints of cinnamon spiced plum and toasted hazelnut.
