Port Wood Single Malt

The GlenDronach Port Wood was created to pay homage to the 19th-century tradition of bringing casked port into Scotland. In the nineteenth century, port was considered a social necessity, therefore many of Portugal's best port pipes made the journey down the Douro River to Scotland's wine vaults. Despite the passage of time, the magnificent Douro Valley in Portugal is still celebrated for its superb port. For the second three-year period of The GlenDronach's maturation, we've chosen some of its greatest port pipes. The whisky from these port pipes has been skilfully blended by our Master Blender to create a decadently fruity ten-year-old expression, with waves of rich berry flavours rolling into the whisky's distinctive lengthy, lingering finish.
