Tamhine pronounced (ta-maa-hi-ne) means daughter in Te Reo Mori and is also the name of the first ever ferry connecting the North and South Island; truly one of our unsung heroes. Complex and unconventional, the textural palate respects the history of this fine wine whilst evolving and pushing new boundaries into the future. Tamhine in crafted to express a richer side to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and is made to showcase cellaring potential.Perfectly ripe fruit is fermented and aged for 7 months in 20% new French barrique and 80% older barrels. Light long toasting was chosen for the barrels to help create a more subtle oak influence. The result is a magnificent barrel-fermented rendition that has complexity, depth, texture, purity of fruit flavour and freshness. Almost too good to share, ensure to savour every drop with family and friends!
