With Finland being geographically positioned near Eastern Europe, it’s no surprise that Finland’s spirits are influenced by Russia’s strong spirit style. Finnish spirits tend to be almost tasteless and are created from the distillation of wheat and barley. Vodka in Finland is generally a higher quality that the Finnish local drink ‘vinna’, which is a spirit similar to vodka. Finland’s most well-known exported spirit would probably be Finlandia.
