Schnapps
The term Schnapps comes from the German word for ‘snap’ and was used to refer to a shot or any kind of strong alcoholic drink. Today, Schnapps generally refer to a fruity liqueur which is made by fermenting fruit along with a base liquor. Compared to liqueurs, Schnapps are stronger, often clear, and similar to flavoured vodka. Archers Peach Schnapps is one of the most popularly used Schnapps. Well-known cocktails starring Schnapps include ‘Sex on the Beach’, ‘Strawberry Daiquiri' and 'Peach Long Island'.
