Domaine Parent Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnieres 2017

Domaine Parent
Pommard 1er Cru Les Chaponnieres

The 2017 Pommard Les Chaponnires 1er Cru comes from 82-year-old vines. It sees 10% whole clusters and is matured in 50% new oak. The well-defined bouquet seems to carry the new oak well, and offers slightly tarry black cherry and bilberry fruit; wild strawberry emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin and quite saline in the mouth, coiling up toward a finish that implies it will need a few years in bottle. 90-92 Neal Martin VINOUS
