90-93 /100 Burghound: Outstanding Note: this is a ngociant wine that is sold under the Jacques Parent label; 40% whole clusters Tasting note: A ripe nose offers up notes of poached plum, violet, spice and again, plenty of earth where the wood treatment is more subtle. There is excellent volume and focused power to the medium weight flavors that aren't as big and robust as those of the Chanlins, yet the supporting tannins are even firmer on the stony and mouth coating finale. Lovely but patience advised.
