Focusing on raspberry and loganberry fruit with very gentle tannins, this is easy to enjoy, although a little hollow through the mid palate. It was hard to get the balance right in this vintage between approachability, flesh and structure. Made in small cement vats for 30% of volume (so no oak at all for these bits), together with 15% new oak and the rest one or two year old barrels. Jane Anson 89
