A blend of 45% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Bonarda and 5% Cabernet Franc. A portion of the grapes are dried, losing 35% of their weight over the three weeks they are on the racks. Aged for 12 months in French oak, there is a small amount of residual super in the wine and an alc/vol of 13.5%, somewhat restrained for an Amarone style. Complex honeyed and floral aromatics envelop the smoothly opulent palate. Delicious.
