CHATEAU LAFLEUR

Château Lafleur is a tiny property with a mere 4.5 hectares of vineyard on Pomerol's exalted plateau. It rivals Pomerol superstar, Château Pétrus, in both quality and price, yet it remains somewhat under the radar, unlike its more famous compatriot.

The miniscule quantity produced here makes it a very rare gem, more so than even the Pétrus. The vineyard is planted fairly evenly between Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with the old vine Cabernet Franc one of the hallmarks of this great wine. Despite the small production, in order to maintain the quality and tighten even further the selection of fruit for the Grand Vin, Château Lafleur, a second wine has been added, Les Pensées de Lafleur.
