Nestled in the south eastern corner of France, this region enjoys the benefits of a Meditteranean climate, with around 3000 sunshine hours per year and a mild 14C on average. With all this sun, it is unsurprising therefore, that apart from the usual red and white wine suspects such as, Grenache, Cinsaut, Mourvedre, Chardonnay and Semillion, the region is well known for producing a high volume of rosé wines. The perfect Summer sipper, the crisp, refreshing rosé of the region has gained an international following and accounts for around 80% Provence's total wine production, while Bandol is possibly one of Provence's most internationally acclaimed wine regions.
