A LOOK AT ALSACE | THORNDON WELLINGTON
Alsace sits on the border of both Germany and Switzerland and although it has alternated between French and German control over the centuries and now even though it is recognised as French it does reflect a mix of cultures in architecture and of course food and wine. Riesling rules the roost in Alsace is the most planted varietal followed closely by Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. These wines are luscious and for this tasting we will be trying three Grand Cru wines, a rare treat.
